prayers needed

Nine months ago I was introduced to an amazing little girl and her family.  I was so lucky to have photographed Haley and her family in March.  Haley Smith is fighting for her life with a brain cancer called Intrinsic Pontine Glioma.   I keep up with Haley by reading her Caring Bridge page.  Just this weekend they enjoyed a special trip to see ICE at Gaylord Palms and many fun Christmas activities.  Tonight when I read her parent’s update my heart dropped, it seems Haley is in pain and needs our prayers.  Please take a moment to think of Haley and her family.  We love you sweet girl!!

You can keep up with Haley at Caring Bridge.com under Haley Smith.

Here is a post from her dad tonight.

Today has been probably the hardest day for me in a long long time. Haley has had a really hard day. Yesterday Haley was in pain for the majority of the day and the even through the night. This morning I called the Doctor and we started her on morphine because she not only had pain in her back but her side as well. Earlier this afternoon Haley lost all feeling from the waist down, which could or could not come back. At this point we have no idea why she can’t feel her legs.

I have no idea what to think or say other than I am really scared and don’t want to lose my baby. My little girl is lying in my bed dying and there is nothing I can do for her. I can’t look at her without breaking down. I think of all the good times we have had together and how no parent should ever have to deal with crap. I love you Haley, I love you so much and I don’t want to lose you.

My little girl is nothing short of perfect and I thank God for allowing me to be a part of her life. For those of you that have children please take each day as it could be your last and make the most of each day.

I don’t know how much longer Haley is going to be with us. Please pray for my precious little angel.
