I’m back from Alabama and tired!!! Vacations while working are tough but fun. We had some drama on our way home and ended up staying a day longer. We were headed down the I20 about 10 min. outside of Atlanta when a Ford Explorer in the center lane blew a tire. The Explorer turned sideways at 80mph and I just knew we were going to get hit. The Explorer hit a small sedan and the guy in the that car was knocked out with his car flying across all the lanes- missing our car by 4 inches and then slamming into the concrete center barricade. It was horrible! We stopped to help him and we literally held Pampers Cruisers diapers (I couldn’t get to the first aid stuff since it was under our suitcases) on his head and arm to control the bleeding until the fire dept got there (like 13 min. later). We couldn’t really drive much after that so we stopped for the night. It can happen SO fast.. don’t forget those seat belts! I am so happy to be home and counting our blessings we were not hurt.
And now - in honor of car crashes here are some images from the race track we visited.
